Karo Lucas

Born on 1951,in an Armenian family in Iran is widly known as the father of the Robatic of Iran. Lucas first received his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering (Fanni) University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran in 1973 and the Ph.D. degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1976. He is a Professor, and a member (as well as the founder- Director) of Center of Excellence for Control and Intelligent Processing, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Tehran. His research interests include biological computing, computational intelligence, uncertain systems, intelligent control, neural networks, multiagent systems, data mining, business intelligence, financial modeling, and knowledge management. Professor Lucas was the founder of the ISRF, Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics and has assisted in founding several new research organizations and engineering disciplines in Iran. Arbi Avanesian

Born on 1941 in Jolfa ,Isfahan, In an Armenian family. After finishing high school education in Kooshesh Davitian ,he became a member of the " Armen " theatrical group in Ararat cultural organization that was established on fourth of December 1960 . Shahen Sarkissian the head of the group of national art was also the director of the group.At that time Avanesian started with costume designs and decoration of the scenes. Between 1963 until 1966 he studies film directing and animation at London International film School and starts attending to theaters at Milan,Paris,Rome,Vatican & Athens due to his great amusement to theater. Upon his return to Iran, he shoots a documentary about the ancient Armenian church "Saint Tadeous " located in northwest of Iran. Born in Abadan, south of Iran, at 1952,she is an Armenian Iranian novelist very well known for her supperb ability at characterizing the women and creating suspense through defamiliarization of everyday life. "One day befor easter" was her first story in which she told the two stages of an Armenian man born in Anzali harbor in north of Iran who later become a teacher in Tehran. Pirzad can once more repeat the success she experienced with her first novel, “I Turn Off the Lights“, given her specific outlook in “We Get Used to It.“ The latter is the familiar story of the individuals encountered in everyday life, displaying the continuous reasonable trend of Pirzad’s short stories. The writer’s two recent novels seem to be more integrated due to the experience gained through writing for several consecutive years. Marcos Grigorian

Grigorian was born in Kropotkin, Russia, to an Armenian family, who immigrated to Iran in 1930. After finishing pre-university education in Iran, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome. In 1954, he returned to Iran, opened the Galerie Esthétique, an important commercial gallery in Tehran. In 1958, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, he organized the first Tehran Biennial. Grigorian was also an influential teacher at the Fine Arts Academy, where he disseminated his enthusiasm for local popular culture, including coffee-house paintings, a type of folk art named after the locations in which they were often displayed. In 1975 Grigorian helped organize the group of free painters and sculptors in Tehran and was one of its founder members. Artists Gholamhossein Nami, Massoud Arabshahi, Morteza Momayez and Faramarz Pilaram were amongst the other members of the group. Grigorian left Iran in 1977 at the age of 52. Samuel Khachikian

Samuel Khachikian ( 1923 , Tabriz Iran, – 22 October 2001, Tehran) was an Armenian-Iranian film director, screenwriter, author, and film editor. Graduated in history and journalism, he started his career as a stage director for a short period and made his first film, Return in 1953. As a pioneer, he was the first director of Iranian cinema who showed the importance of film directing to the public and was the most popular and influential director. He made forty films, mostly horror and thriller, including some box office hits, which brought him the ironic title of “Iranian Hitchcock”.His son Edwin Khachikian is currently a director in Tehran, Iran. Samuel's brother Souren Khachikian was also heavily involved in the production of his films. Souren's grandson Ara H. Keshishian is currently working as Film Editor in Hollywood, CA.

Loris Tjeknavorian

Loris Tjeknavorian , born october 13, 1937 is a contemporary Armenian-Iranian composer and conductor. He was born in Borujerd in the province of Lorestan, southwestern Iran, and was educated in Tehran. In the course of his career, Cheknavarian has made about 100 recordings (with RCA, Philips, EMI, ASV, etc.) and written more than 75 compositions (symphonies, operas, a requiem, chamber music, concerto for piano, violin, guitar, cello and bipa (Chinese lute), ballet music, choral works and an oratorio. And over 45 Film mosaics. Cheknavarian also has conducted international orchestras throughout the world: in Austria, UK, U.S., Canada, Hungary, Iran, Finland, former USSR, Armenia, Thailand, Hong Kong, South Africa, Denmark, Israel, etc. His own compositions have been performed by major orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Halle Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the American Symphony Orchestra in New York, the Tehran Symp
